Wreck of WWII freighter believed found off Albania (AP)

In these images made available from the US-Albanian expedition on Monday June 14, 2010  allegedly shows two views the Italian ship Rosandra.  Underwater archaeologists believe they have found the wreck of the Italian merchant ship torpedoed by the British during World War II off Albania's southern coast.  A joint U.S.-Albanian team said Monday the wreckage found last weekend probably was part of  the 8,000-ton Rosandra, which sank after being hit by a British submarine 67 years ago. Finnish police say they are investigating the mummified corpse, which was found by builders during demolition work on the smoke stack at the industrial site.  Initial investigations are thought to centre on a 56-year old man who went missing in 1991, but no other details are revealed by the police.
