A small table with a metal seal, at centre, pronouncing the authenticity of  the table made from ancient oak wood salvaged from the foundations of the Old London Bridge before the bridge which spanned the river Thames in London was rebuilt, is displayed in Edinburgh, Scotland, Sunday June 27, 2010, ahead of the table being auctioned.  The wood dates from about the year 1177 and is valued at about £3,000 (dlrs 4,500 US, or euro3,650), and is on show at Lyon & Turnbull in Edinburgh prior to the sale on June 30.  Inscription on the table reads: The Oak of which this table is made was under the foundation of Old London Bridge, Upwards of six hundred and fifty six years and taken up from thence in 1833 by Sir Edward Banks and William John Jolliffe Esq.
